I'm very impressed with our #hotel room (top) and the views from it (bottom). We are at the #Maldron Hotel in #Tallaght, which is about 5 miles (8 km) South West of Dublin city centre, it was a nice ride on the #Luas #tram to get here. The hotel is GREAT value for #Dublin, which is an expensive city to stay in. We paid €147 with booking.com for two people, two nights, bed and breakfast - bargain! The room is recently refurbished and has a balcony which overlooks the 6,000 capacity Tallaght #Stadium, the home of the mighty @shamrockroversofficial. Meanwhile in Leeds Part 3: April 2016. Leeds, West Yorkshire, England

Meanwhile in Leeds Part 3: April 2016. Leeds, West Yorkshire, England.

Leeds is a city in West Yorkshire, England. In 2011, according to the UK Census, Leeds built-up subdivision had a population of 474,632. It is part of the City of Leeds metropolitan borough which has an estimated population of 757,700 (2011). To read more about Leeds, click here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leeds .

This is the third in a series of short burst art films that I am making depicting life in the city of Leeds. The film is taken at varying locations in and around the city of Leeds, including it's suburbs. It is taken from the street, in pubs, in shopping centres, from station platforms, at the airport, from buses,  on buses, from trains, on trains, from cars, and on aeroplanes. The film contains over 100 5 second clips shot randomly of life in Leeds.  Depicted is the city's architecture, people, culture, events, infrastructure, transport, entertainment, leisure, attractions, gastronomy, fashions and passions! I've lived in Leeds nearly 20 years now, and what if offers  never ceases to amaze me. It's a truly great city.

Leeds is also currently bidding for the 2023 European Capital of Culture, to read more about this, please visit this website: http://www.leeds-2023.co.uk/ .

To read more about Königswinter, click here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%C3%B6nigswinter .

Königswinter has extensive railway connections. The town is bisected by a busy railway line, which carries a great deal of freight / cargo up and down the 'right' side of the River Rhine, as well as Cologne to Koblenz passenger services. Königswinter also has a tram line which takes light rail between Koblenz and Bad Honnef, and a historic rack railway, the 'Drachenfelsbahn', which travels up the Siebengebirge.

This film features views of all three railways in Königswinter, with numerous shots of intermodal freight trains, as well as container trains, covered car trains and passenger services. There are also some shots of Königswinter's resident station dancer! He's definitely worth looking out for!!

Hotel Review: Maritim Königswinter, North Rhine Westphalia, Germany - Ma...

Hotel Review: Maritim Königswinter, North Rhine Westphalia, Germany - March 2016.

I stayed at the Maritim Hotel in Königswinter in March, 2016 for two nights, paying £205, room only. Upon arrival my room was upgraded to a junior suite, which I was extremely pleased about. The junior suite has a separate lounge and bedroom as well as a bathroom. The suite was very plush and came with a river view. I was genuinely very, very happy with the room I had been given.

Unfortunately my initial happiness was soured the next day when I found out that the room I had been allocated was next door to workmen who were working on the building internally. From just after 8am for most of the next day all i could hear was banging and drilling, which drove me out of the hotel completely. I was in Königswinter to get some writing done, and was hoping to make full use of my room - it turned out that I was unable to do this due to the excessive noise.

I did complain at reception, but the reception staff (who were very polite) explained that the hotel was completely full and there was nowhere else that I could go.

The internal building work also meant that the hotel's swimming pool was out of order. I had actually booked this specific hotel due to the fact that it had a swimming pool, so this was a huge disappointment to me.

I love visiting Königswinter, and this in my previous experience has been a great hotel, but on this occasion I felt very badly let down by the hotel's management, who did not offer me any compensation for my inconvenience or even a complimentary breakfast.

I decided to cut short my review of the hotel due to quite frankly being annoyed by this happening. I have previously enjoyed staying at the Maritim Königswinter, and I am not ruling out staying there again in future, but I will certainly ensure if I do stay there again that there is no building work happening.

This film features views of the hotel, a tour of room 102, views from room 102, the restaurant and breakfast buffet - which is very good, but also very expensive at 19 Euro per person per day.
